Great article. Web3 technologies can solve some of these problems. Immutability and provenance can be integrated directly into the litigants claim at the time the evidence is created, and in some cases automatically saved to a public blockchain (encrypted and/or unencrypted format depending on the sensitivity of the content). This solves most chain of custody issues courts have to grapple with. It also freezes the metadata so tampering is impossible.
